Condition guide
We grade every piece honestly so you know exactly what you're bringing home. All condition notes on individual listings describe any specific flaws beyond the grade definition.
A note on vintage and antique: Most pieces in our inventory are pre-owned and carry the marks of a life already lived. We celebrate that. Our grading reflects honesty, not apology.

Grade Description
Mint / Unworn
The piece shows no signs of previous use. Tags may still be attached. Fabric, hardware, and finishes are pristine. For antiques, all original components are intact and fully functional with no restoration. Extremely rare in our inventory.
Excellent
Minimal signs of age or use — what you'd expect from a treasured piece that was rarely worn or carefully kept. No visible flaws, staining, or repairs. Light patina on metals or hardware is expected at this grade and considered part of the piece's character.
Very Good
Gently worn or used with minor signs of age that do not detract from appearance or wearability. May include light fading consistent with era, very minor surface wear, or small imperfections only visible on close inspection. No structural issues, staining, or repairs unless noted.
Good
Shows honest wear consistent with age and use. May include minor repairs, light fading, small spots or marks, or slight fabric thinning. Fully wearable or displayable. Any specific flaws are described in the listing.
Fair
Noticeable wear, flaws, or imperfections that are visible but do not compromise the integrity of the piece. Suited for collectors, display, or those who appreciate patina and history over perfection. All flaws are detailed in the listing. Priced accordingly.
